Synopsis
MENINA is the story of one, of many, of all. When she was little, her classmates started calling her fat… You know, kid stuff, right?
When she arrived at the institute she found her place: “the whale of the group.”
During an excursion to the El Prado Museum she acquired new superlatives and qualifiers. Of all of them, she took the “Menina” one. Well, of course, yes, she said to herself, I’m a fucking work of Velázquez.
So, starting to eat and gain weight, over the years she decided to take on the world and fatten her ego on stage.

Criticism
La actriz Nuqui Fernández realiza un trabajo portentoso. En todo momento transmite la pasión de su palabra y convence al público. Va desnudándose de la ropa de su encorsetado vestuario sacando toda la sinceridad al personaje, favorecida por la iluminación fascinante entreoscuros y el magnífico espacio sonoro. Excelente y necesario teatro social. Existe un problema que no es cosa de críos y esta desgarrada obra lo ofrece con rebeldía y convicción.
